• What is an affiliate program? How does it work?
  
  An affiliate program is a revenue sharing program where the affiliate (you) drive traffic to the merchant's (us) site. In exchange, the merchant provides the affiliate with a referral commission. Each time a customer clicks on your link and makes a purchase on our site, you get paid!

• Can anyone or any website participate?
  
  Most everyone and every website can participate. The following websites may not participate in our affiliate program:
  
  • Adult Sites
  • Sites that display adult banners
  • Warez
  • ROM
  • MP3
  • Emulator

• How are sales tracked?
  
  Sales are tracked by our affiliate software. Referral commissions post to your affiliate account approximately 4 days after a successful transaction is completed. VideoGameInstructionBooklets.com is not responsible for affiliate links that are broken or do not correctly contain your affiliate ID. If you have a broken affiliate link or your affiliate ID is incorrect or not correctly embedded in your links, you will not receive credit for the sale.

• How much will I earn? How and when will I be paid?
  
  Affiliates earn 15% of each successful sale generated by their affiliate link. Affiliates will not earn commissions on their own transactions, transactions completed by family members or persons residing at the same address as the affiliate. Affiliates who are discovered to be in violation of this policy or who are found to be "gaming" the system will have their affiliate account immediately terminated and forfeit all of their earned commissions. VideoGameInstructionBooklets.com has sole discretion in determining if this policy has been violated.
  
  Commission checks are issued quarterly (Checks mailed in January, April, July and October for the preceding three months) to the affiliate name and address that is currently associated with your customer account. Please be sure to keep your address up to date or you may not receive your commission check. Payments are issued in US Funds only. When your commissions approach $500 in any calendar year, we will need to obtain your Social Security Number or Taxpayer ID Number in order to comply with IRS regulations.

• How do I create links to VideoGameInstructionBooklets.com?
  
  Affiliates may currently on create text links for use on websites, blogs and in Emails. Affiliates MAY NOT create banner ads or other artwork. Use of any such banners or other artwork will result in the immediate termination of the affiliate account and the affiliate will forfeit their earned commissions. VideoGameInstructionBookelts.com will be providing banner ads and other artwork in the future for affiliates to use.
  
  Creating links requires some HTML Knowledge and the ability to properly embed your affiliate link within that HTML. Please see below for a sample that may be used by our affiliates if they wish:
  
  NOTE: Our affiliate program is not active. Once our affiliate program goes live, this text will be replaced with the sample link and the 'Affiliates' link will appear at the bottom of each page of the site.
  
  In addition, affiliates may not purchase PPC ad campaigns that contain the following words and/or phrases or any variations thereof:

  • Authorized reseller
  • In association with
  • Partnership with
  • In conjunction with

VideoGameInstructionBooklets.com reserves the right to add words and/or phrases to this list at anytime without notice. Affiliates who are found to be in violation of this policy will have their affiliate account immediately terminated and any commissions earned will be forfeited.

NOTE ABOUT EMAIL LINKS: DO NOT SPAM! If you SPAM out your affiliate links in Email blasts, your affiliate account will be terminated and any commissions you have earned will be forfeited!

• How do I create links to specific products?
  
  You would use the same general HTML code as provided in the sample above. However, due to the nature of the products that we sell on this website, we do not recommend creating links to specific products. Instead, why not create links to specific categories?
